| Characters: - Narrator (Tells the story) - Hansel (Older brother, brave but acts fast) - Gretel (Younger sister, careful and smart) - Stepmother (Mean and cold) - Old Woman (Creepy and dangerous) Scene 1: Left Behind (Lights on. A quiet, empty shopping mall. Hansel and Gretel stand near the entrance, looking around.) Narrator: Hansel and Gretel lived with their father and a stepmother. One day, their stepmother drove them to the mall. Stepmother: (Annoyed) Stay here. I’ll be back soon. Hansel: (Worried) This place feels empty... Gretel: (Looking around) Are you sure we should stay? Stepmother: (Cold) Just do what I said. (She walks away. Time passes. First minutes... then hours.) Narrator: She never came back. (The lights flicker. There’s a soft sound. The air feels cold.) Hansel: Something’s wrong. Gretel: (Whispers) We’re all alone... (A glowing sign appears in the distance: Sugar Haven.) Scene 2: The Sweet Trap (Hansel and Gretel walk toward the café. A warm light shines inside.) Hansel: (Excited) Wow! Look at that place! Gretel: (Unsure) Everything else is closed... (An old woman appears at the door. She wears a pink apron and smiles too much.) Old Woman: Hello, children! You must be hungry. Come in and eat as much as you want. (The café smells like cookies and candy. Hansel and Gretel go in.) Narrator: They walked inside. (The café is full of cakes, candy, and cocoa fountains.) Hansel: (Eating) This is amazing! Gretel: (Looking around) Why is this the only place open? (Suddenly: CLICK. The door locks. The windows close with loud metal shutters.) Hansel: (Jumping up) What was that?! Old Woman: (Smiling coldly) You can’t leave. (She presses a button. Candy shelves move, showing cages behind them.) Narrator: It was all a trap. (Inside the cages: clothes, shoes, backpacks.) Gretel: (Scared) Hansel... other kids were here before us... (A whisper fills the room: “Help us...”) Scene 3: Escape! (Hansel pulls on the door—it’s locked.) Hansel: We need to get out! Gretel: There must be another way! (She sees a small door behind a shelf.) Gretel: (Quietly) Over there! (They move the shelf. A hidden door! But the old woman grabs Gretel.) Old Woman: (Low and scary) You’re not leaving! (Hansel grabs a jar and hits her arm. She lets go.) Narrator: They ran fast. (They run through a dark hallway. Loud footsteps follow them.) Hansel: Don’t stop! (They turn—dead end!) Gretel: (Panicking) No! We’re trapped! (Hansel sees a red fire alarm.) Hansel: I got this! (He hits the alarm. A loud siren starts. The emergency doors open. They run outside, daylight!) Scene 4: Safe at Home (They run home. Their father opens the door. He looks very worried.) Father: Where were you?! Narrator: Hansel and Gretel never trusted strangers again. (Lights fade. The end.) |
