Avoid embarrassing a child who is always chosen last for a physical education team game by using these methods:

Have each student place a small object in a shoe box, such as an eraser, paper clip, marble, penny or scrap of paper.
Make sure that all the objects are difterent.
Captains organize their teams by drawing objects from the box and holding them up for students to claim.

Designate teams by colors.
Place strips of construction paper of two designated colors in a box.
Have each student draw one to discover his or her team assignment.
