Dog Catcher

Equipment : None Formation : Children are in two groups along a line at the other end of the play area. Method : The space between the lines is the stray dog area. At one side of the area is a dog pound. The dog catcher comes out of his/her pound and calls names of dogs. (The children have already chosen their favorite dogs as names.) As names are called, they run through the stray dog area to the opposite goal. Those who are tagged go to the pound. The dogs can get out of the pound if they are tagged by another dog on his/her way across the free area.
