How to Use Teacher Edition

Teacher Edition – Step‑by‑Step

Do teachers need access to HTML code? No! Teachers do not need access to the HTML code to use teacher-made puzzles. The HTML file is just a one-time setup on the website. Teachers simply use the visual builder on this page to create puzzles, click Download Teacher JSON, and share or load their puzzle file.

  1. Switch the toggle at the top from Student to Teacher.
  2. The Teacher Dashboard will appear on the right.
  3. To load your own puzzles, click Load puzzles.json (must be in same folder).
  4. To check JSON, paste it into the validator and click Validate JSON.
  5. To build puzzles visually:
    • Select difficulty
    • Enter start and finish numbers (or use Auto-Calculate Target)
    • Add operations with values and color swatches
    • Click Add Puzzle to Teacher Set
  6. Click Download Teacher JSON to save your puzzle set.
  7. Switch back to Student Mode to hide the dashboard.
